Installation Technician, (222lw) –Mechanical/Electrical Engineering - Field
Based – London/South East – £30k-£40k + uncapped Overtime (£50-60k)
We have a rare & exciting opportunity
for those wishing for a new career within the Construction industry, to join a
rapidly expanding Technician team as an Installation Technician.

As an Installation
Technician, reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will work as part of a
team on installation works nationwide, generally working in a team of two or
more on site. You will perform site surveys as necessary and attend
installation meetings, safety briefings participate in toolbox talks where
necessary to name but a few responsibilities. It is vital within this role that
you demonstrate good discipline and personal organisation along with an
enthusiasm for product and process quality, as well as continually always
demonstrating Company Values. Within this role you will always be a personable
and discrete individual.
Responsibilities:
Installation and
commissioning of products, nationwide into client premises. These will
primarily be portals and turnstiles with some occasional external work on clients
HVM products.
Coordination of
onsite activities – Working on site will sometimes require you to coordinate
other trades from director level to labourer. You will need to be approachable
and patient. With the ability to motivate your colleagues as well as other
trades.
You will be
reporting to the PMs on day-to-day progress with overall responsibility with
the engineering manager. You will strive to work efficiently and be used to
working within an onsite environment. Efficiency is key.
All equipment is
well built and as such generally heavy. You will be ideally physically fit
meaning the equipment can be moved into position and onto / off the provided
lifting aids.
Required Skills
Good mechanical
aptitude and pride in all jobs carried out.
Highly experienced
in using power tools for general construction & installation.
Understanding of
DC electrical circuits & components.
Desirable skills
(not required for trainee level / Service Leavers)
Access Control,
Turnstiles, Automatic Doors. CSCS Card. IPAF / PASMA Certificate. EN16005
/BS7036. Gate safe trained. SSSTS Training
