The Role

We are looking for a Security Systems Engineer to carry out installation, commissioning, servicing and maintenance across a wide range of electronic security systems.

This role is ideal for ex‑military engineers who enjoy structured work, technical problem‑solving, and taking ownership of tasks from start to finish.

You will:

  • Lead installations, maintenance and commissioning of CCTV, Intruder and Access Control systems
  • Work from detailed drawings and follow NSI/EN standards
  • Produce high‑quality documentation, handover and as-fitted records
  • Liaise with Alarm Receiving Centres (ARC)
  • Deliver training and support to junior engineers and apprentices
  • Participate in the on‑call rota for emergency support
  • Maintain safe working practices, risk assessments and method statements

What We’re Looking For

Technical Requirements

  • 4+ years’ experience in a security engineering environment
  • Strong working knowledge of Intruder, Access Control, CCTV, and IP‑based systems
  • Preferably experienced with:
    Paxton, Honeywell, Visonic, Ajax, Orisec, Guardall, Texecom, Bosch, Hikvision
  • Preferably manufacturer‑trained on related equipment
  • Confident with IP/Networking principles
  • Strong written and administrative skills
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Willingness to work away if required
  • Ability to pass BS 7858 Security Screening and Enhanced DBS
