✅ The Role
We are looking for a Security Systems Engineer to carry out installation, commissioning, servicing and maintenance across a wide range of electronic security systems.
This role is ideal for ex‑military engineers who enjoy structured work, technical problem‑solving, and taking ownership of tasks from start to finish.
You will:
- Lead installations, maintenance and commissioning of CCTV, Intruder and Access Control systems
- Work from detailed drawings and follow NSI/EN standards
- Produce high‑quality documentation, handover and as-fitted records
- Liaise with Alarm Receiving Centres (ARC)
- Deliver training and support to junior engineers and apprentices
- Participate in the on‑call rota for emergency support
- Maintain safe working practices, risk assessments and method statements
✅ What We’re Looking For
Technical Requirements
- 4+ years’ experience in a security engineering environment
- Strong working knowledge of Intruder, Access Control, CCTV, and IP‑based systems
- Preferably experienced with:
Paxton, Honeywell, Visonic, Ajax, Orisec, Guardall, Texecom, Bosch, Hikvision
- Preferably manufacturer‑trained on related equipment
- Confident with IP/Networking principles
- Strong written and administrative skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Willingness to work away if required
- Ability to pass BS 7858 Security Screening and Enhanced DBS
