I am excited to partner with a leading manufacturing company who are based in Leeds and have a vacancy for an Engineering Team Leader to join their team. The successful Engineering Team Leader will lead a small maintenance team and will ensure that the onsite operation runs smoothly.

Engineering Team Leader Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily maintenance tasks with the team and take the lead on escalating breakdowns.
- Liaise with the Planning department to schedule in routine maintenance and assign the maintenance tasks to the engineers.
- Ensure any new machinery defects which are reported to maintenance are assigned to an engineer and ensure that defect rectification is conducted in a timely and efficient manner.
- Maintain stock control of engineering stores, to identify and order all required spares / parts.
- Attend Risk Observation and Continuous Improvement meetings, to offer opinions and solutions and be responsible for planning and assigning any maintenance actions.
- Manage 5S within the department.
Engineering Team Leader Requirements:
- Hold level 3 in electrical or mechanical engineering.
- Must be multi skilled and have strong electrical and mechanical knowledge.
- Demonstrable background in leading a team.
- Good organisation skills.
