About the Programme

The EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT) in Quantum Technology Engineering at the University of Southampton offers fully funded PhD opportunities designed to support individuals transitioning from the armed forces. You’ll gain hands‑on experience across Physics, Chemistry, Electronics, Computer Science, Optoelectronics and Engineering — supported by world‑class facilities including our Nanofabrication Centre, Institute of Sound & Vibration Research, and National Oceanography Centre Southampton.
Your transferable skills — such as strategic thinking, teamwork, adaptability, and experience working with advanced systems — are highly valued in our multidisciplinary environment.
