This
role is ideal for ex-military engineers and technicians who have experience
maintaining, fault-finding, and repairing machinery and equipment in
operational environments. You will join a team of highly skilled engineers,
responsible for ensuring equipment is safe, reliable, and operationally ready.
Key
Responsibilities
·
Carry
out scheduled maintenance, servicing, and inspections to the highest standard
·
Respond
to reactive maintenance requests quickly and efficiently
·
Diagnose
and rectify mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults
·
Undertake
welding and fabrication as required
·
Attend
internal and external training to maintain and expand technical skills
·
Complete
maintenance documentation and reports accurately and on time
·
Work
safely and in line with Health & Safety standards
Qualifications
& Experience
·
Relevant
engineering experience in a workshop or operational engineering environment
·
Full
driving licence
·
Previous
experience working on bailing press machines is desirable but not essential

In
this role you will be working an alternating shift pattern, week 1 being
0700hrs to 1600hrs Mon to Fri and week 2 being 0900hrs to 1800hrs Mon to Fri
and Sat 0700hr to 1100hrs and your standard working week will be 42 hrs per
week, with overtime at Time and a half and Sundays and bank holidays at Double
time. Please note that the 4 hrs on Saturday will attract the Time and a half
salary rate.
On
top of the salary you will get 28 days leave a year which includes Bank
Holidays as well as Perkbox which is the company’s shop and save voucher
scheme, an extra day’s annual leave for your birthday after a years’ service
and long service awards. And finally, there is also enhanced maternity and
paternity and for the manager its two weeks company sick pay
