Maintenance Technician (046jc) – St Athan – up to £40,000 + Benefits
My
client is looking for a hands-on, dependable Maintenance Technician to join a
growing aviation maintenance team. This role is ideal for UK military veterans
who have experience in engineering, technical maintenance, or aircraft systems,
and who value precision, teamwork, and discipline.
If
you’ve worked in a high-pressure, safety-critical environment, your skills are
directly transferable to this role.
What
You’ll Do
·
Work
as part of a maintenance team to ensure safe, compliant servicing of various
aircraft
·
Support
senior engineers with arrival inspections, storage maintenance, and
pre-part-out checks
·
Read
and interpret Aircraft Maintenance Manuals (AMMs) and Illustrated Parts
Catalogues (IPCs) — with full training provided
·
Receive
training in Part 145 procedures, human factors, EWIS, and other relevant
regulations
·
Assist
in protective engine wrapping and tooling inventory checks
·
Identify
and report non-conformities, damage risks, and safety hazards promptly
·
Work
with tools and equipment, maintaining them in good working condition
·
Support
continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, and productivity
·
Work
within a culture of safety and compliance, ensuring all duties follow
established guidelines
·
Be
prepared to train for towing aircraft and operating equipment in an airfield
environment
·
Work
toward attaining a Part 66 A Licence, with expectations to progress toward a B
Licence
