Location:          Homebased (but within commute of Market Harborough) – up to London, M25 or M4 corridor

Salary:             £45,000 to £48,000 DOE + overtime and benefits

A growing specialist engineering company in low voltage services supporting blue chip companies is seeking an electrically skilled Senior Field Service Engineer based anywhere from Leicester down to the M25/M4 area. The Senior Field Service Engineer will be providing field servicing and workshop/office duties to ensure customers’ power is continuously running. The Senior Field Service Engineer will need to have a relevant qualification in electrical engineering, have strong work experience relating to the role, have a UK driving licence and excellent customer service. In addition, you will need to able to work some overtime and be able to work under a 40-hour working week in a 7-day period.

Key Responsibilities:

Field Service – to aid and conduct in the supply, maintenance, injection testing, installation, commissioning, fault finding and repair of:

  • Air Circuit Breakers (ACBs)
  • Moulded Case Circuit Breakers (MCCBs)
  • Vacuum Circuit Breakers (VCBs)
  • Integral & Static Protection Releases & Relays
  • Low Voltage Switchboards
  • High Voltage Switchboards
  • Changeover Systems
  • Battery Chargers

 

Office – to aid and conduct in the preparation of:

  • Site Visit Reporting
  • Test Certificates
  • Method Statements & Risk Assessments (MSRAs)
  • Quotations / Site Surveys
  • Asset Lists
  • Contract Support
  • Telephone Support

 

Workshop – maintenance and repair of customer returned items and three tier stock items

 

Knowledge, skills and qualifications:

Essential:

  • Completed a recognised electrical engineering qualification (preferably HNC or higher)
  • Have strong work experience as an electrical engineer (worked around 10 years+ in a relevant role)
  • Proven ability to show electrical safety competence
  • Have a clean UK driving licence and is prepared to regular security vetting and drugs & alcohol testing
  • Be available for regular out of normal working hours and overtime

 

Desirable:

  • Authorised or Senior Authorized Person status
